Ode to incredible makeup artistry and creative photography

Love Top Model. Didn’t think I was the type, but I guess I am. Tonight is MAKEOVER night, my favorite night of them all.
Has nothing to do with the beauty queens of super genes at all, in fact it’s the pretty girls I don’t like.
It’s the artist in me that loves this show. I am obsessed with the amazing makeup application when they do the extreme looks and the
beautiful photos that result from the creative eye of the photographer in question. I love watching them pull everything together and turn an
average looking girl into a stunning model. I love it, love it, love it. I get so excited when a new season starts and each year I have a favorite and a person I can’t wait to never see again.

This season I love Marjory, if she could only get over her awkwardness and realize how gorgous she is. She takes incredible shots. She reminds me of  Audrey Tautou from the movie Amelie.
Secondly I love Isis, stunning, she is transgendered and is a more beautiful female inside and out then many physically born females I know.
Third of all I love Elina, the show’s token bi-sexual chick, you know they gotta keep it interesting year after year. Anyhow she is a stunner and somehow reminds me so much of Christina Ricci.

I really don’t like Sheena, she is too hoochie and it’s not her fault, it seems to be an intrinsic part of her character, she could be an amazing sports illustrated model but I don’t see high fashion in her.

Anyhow, these are the only three characters that jump out at me this year, there are always a handful of girls that blend into the background. The stereotypical pretty girls, the surfer blond tanned bikini girls. BORING.

Anyhow. Off to watch. Chime in if your a fellow watcher.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. This is actually the first season I haven’t watched but I did just see a few minutes of it. I always get sucked in when I swear I won’t watch it again. I just hate that the “top model” is never the actual winner.

  2. I’m watching too. Wondering what they’re going to do with Elina’s hair that’s so “drastic”..
