A package from Halifax :)

This video makes me so happy. We are in love with these girls, Merin, the older one, and Robin, the younger one, the daughters of my best friend Sarah, who we left behind in Toronto and miss so much. We picked up some gifts for them along our travels this summer, T-shirts from Moncton, NB, an Ann of Green Gables book in PEI and a china tea set. We mailed it to them last week and their dad was thoughtful enough to video tape them reciving it and share it with us. These are the things dreams are made of folks. This is what makes life worth living.

Since I can’t embed this video, please go see it here.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

    • I know. They have always been my inspiration for wanting to be a mom. Since Sarah had Merin, then Robin, watching her tandem feed them both at breast, watching them play with each others hair. It’s enough to make any heart melt and any womb tingle.
