A Day to Remember

October 15th
Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Today is the day that parents all over are remembering, grieving, and wondering. So many of them never got answers, and of the ones who have some feel like it just isn’t enough.

Today I remember my son Evan, born 2 weeks after his due date at 7lbs 11oz and 21 inches long, gone too quickly. Today I remember darlingmiette ‘s daughter Julia, mandella0021 ‘s daughter Cati, ysp ‘s son Aodin, ifonlyuwereheer ‘s daughter Abigail and so so many more who have touched my life through sharing with me the sorrow of infant loss. Today I keep close to my heart all Loss Moms and Dad’s. Oh how I hate that we all belong to this “club.” However, these women are amazing. In their grief and pain, their strength and love, I find my own. Thank you. And thank you too to each of their precious little angels for bringing such exquisite love into all of our lives.

I urge each of you to take part. Remember your angels, or help us remember ours.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. I went to comment on this last night because I was going to saw how sweet it was that you remembered me and mentioned me..and then I realize you deleted me..or maybe I was just seeing things

    • You
You were on there, your right…what happened??? Weird. Ok I will fix it, and your welcome 🙂 I was thinking of all my loss friends last night when I lit Evan’s candle at 7pm.

  2. This is so beautiful, thank you so much for the support! I will add Evan’s name to the list I speak out loud tonight as I light my candle.
