A day in the life.

I had an interesting and full day today. I am going to make a shorthand list so I can come back and edit this post tomorrow and remember all I wanted to say.

-I went to the mall to pick up some pictures and noticed that La Sensa had a Flannel PJ’s sale, buy one get one for 50% off. I got two new pair of polka dotted warm flannel jamies. One is hot pink the other is aqua..mmmmm

-Then we went to Micheal’s craft store so I could get an evergreen wreath for Evan’s grave, while I was there I got a little stocking for him as well and some Christmas candy to put in it for it. Somehow it comforts me to give my dead bebe candy and stuff. Anyhow I also bought a little something for the grave of the little stillborn boy next to him. Then we drove to the cemetary and treked though knee high snow to decorate their little graves. It was so worth it for the good it did to my soul.

-We then went to a ladies house who we were picking up a rug from for our dinning room, we bought it off Kijiji. However, she lived in the sticks and had a steep driveway, we hadn’t had our winter tires put on yet. We got absolutely stuck in her driveway and had to call CAA. They called a tow truck but informed us it would be one hour. The lady and her husband had us in for tea, they are lovely, our age and great conversation ensued. I love randomly meeting nice people and potential new friends.

-Then freezing and tiered all I wanted was warm yummy carbs. We went to this restaurant I love and had super delicious Poutine. For those who don’t know about this abomination of deliciousness, it’s french fries smoothered in cheese and gravy. This place makes their own turkey gravy with fresh Sage and it’s just yuuuummmm. I enjoyed every unhealthy bite, 🙂

-Then I came home and walked little Oliver who did soooo good today with potty training. In the last 2 days he has told me 3 times he wanted to go out  and only had 1 house accident. He was fully trained but the move set him back, so I hope he is getting it again.

-Then came the candle light bubble bath and flannels, and E.T (Dave wanted to watch it hehe)

A decent weekend if I do say so myself.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
