Big Day in Nova Scotia, I think

Some friends of mine have been pushing for this and today, their day came 🙂

HON. CHRISTOPHER D’ENTREMONT: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas statistics from the Canadian Perinatal Health Report 2003 found that 25 per cent to 50 per cent of all pregnancies end in miscarriage or loss; and Whereas miscarriage, stillbirths and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome are a source of grief for many mothers, fathers, siblings and grandparents across Nova Scotia; and Whereas Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is observed in other Canadian provinces, including British Columbia, Alberta, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador so that bereaved parents and families can have a day of their own to remember their precious angels; Therefore be it resolved that all members of this House recognize October 15th as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day in Nova Scotia to honour the many baby boys and baby girls who have died as a result of miscarriage, stillbirth and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
