Happy Chinese New Year

It is the year of the Ox, What does that mean?

The Ox is the second sign of the Chinese zodiac, signifying new beginnings, building to last, and slow but sure action. As with last year, this is an Earth year. The primary characteristic of Earth and Ox together is durability. It suggests an environment dominated by cautious pragmatism. Better results are more likely achieved by going with the flow, rather than aggressively charging forward.

I am a Dragon-So my personalized meaning is:

This year, you will clear any hurdle, but not necessarily at the pace you want. Ox year can bring out your stubborn streak, making for determined efforts, but you may have to adapt to situations with different strategies than your usual style.Your social life will give you great joy throughout the year. For single Dragons, romance is favored. Take a more conservative approach this year, especially toward lavish spending and risky ventures. The Dragon’s active spirit needs physical activity to maintain health. Spend time outdoors; seek a test of skills such as rock climbing. Otherwise stress and emotional swings could effect your life.

Hahah-Irony, I am so impatient and want everything yesterday when it comes to things outside myself. (i.e not related to decision making) and also I was just blogging about cabin fever and stress and my need to be outside πŸ™‚

Ah well-here is a to possitive Lunar new year full of health and renewed hope for all. Slow and steady is the way to win the race.

About mommamaynard

β€œLife is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” β€” Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. oo dragons rock. My husband is one. I am a monkey.

  2. Interesting! I was born in a year of the Ox (1985) and now my wee one will be, too. I wonder what significance that could hold…
I’d love the link to the site you found all this on! πŸ™‚
