About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. oh, you are much more dorky AND nerdy than I am! (And I’m jealous, except for the dork part ;D)

    • Hahaha, It’s funny to, I have grown into my nerdy/dorkiness or something cause in high school I was like the ultra cool and popular rock girl who made fun of dorks and then I became all scholastic in University and now here I am on the other side. I blame the gaming thing on an ex who got me hooked on D&D weekends and Everquest, oh sweet sweet Everquest, I sold my game and account cause it was taking up way to much of my time, now I replaced way to much of my time with other online activities like Blogging. haha
I need to stay off the net.

      • Ah, see, I have become way cooler as I got older (my nerdiousity aside!) Now I’m the dreaded, bellydancing, yoga mom all the other moms wish they were! (HAHA, NOT! But their teenagers think I’m cool…) I was SUCH a dork in middle/ high school!!! omg. srsly.
My two big categories were history/ lit and sci fi/ comics (which makes sense, b/c I am a lit geek of the highest order AND I’m into sci fi/ fantasy. I’m rereading LotR for the umpteenth time right now…) and I fully expect to be finished with the series in about a week or less (hopefully I’ll get some good reading time in today and this weekend).
I’m online a lot (but a lot less now that Remy is a toddler!) I guess that took away my internet cool… 😦
I never got into gaming for some reason… M was as a teenager, but his interest waned. I am kinda into comics, but only though him…

      • I think I got better with age (figure excluded) I mean I think I kept what I liked about myself, my open mindedness, my hippyness and socially aware pieces, lost most of the angst and immaturity and added in a career and love of learning, so all in all, I would choose me now over me then, only maybe 50lbs lighter haha. I am working on the fitness thing though and if I can get that done then I might be perfect haha kidding of course, but perfect for me, not for the world.

      • I just hate it when I forget to log in (I have it set up to log me off everytime I close a session… sigh.)
