Before and After

Our home in progress.

Our first home, purchased July 2008, closed October.

Dinning Room BEFORE– It was the master bedroom.

Dinning Room AFTER, new floor, new big doorway, new paint, new woodstove where the closet was.

BEFORE-Guest Room/Office                 AFTER-New floor, paint, trim.

BEFORE-Media Room, used to be third bedroom.

AFTER: We took down the wood panneling, stripped the wallpaper down, patched the wall’s and painted, changed the flooring. New trim, paint and floor, took out a plastic acordian closet, added a ceiling to floor bookcase for DVD’s and added a light fixture with dimmer.

BEFORE: Master bedroom, which used to be the living room and biggest room in the house.

AFTER: Now master bedroom. Took down wood panneling, patched and painted walls, took out awful blue carpet and put down hardwood as throughout, re-did all the trim. This is the only picture I can find?? I have more I will find them at home and add them so you can see the rest of the room. All the wall’s are purplish/red now, that brown one in this picture was re-painted the deep purple when I changed my mind about it as an accent wall.

So there you have it. It’s still a work in progress but we did get alot done. We worked our butts off all of October before we moved in.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  4. Very nice, but I am confused and feel like you have two master bedrooms.

    • haha sorry to confuse. Nope, just one master bedroom and one guestroom/office/future nursery??
It was a 3 bedroom house with no dinning room when we bought it, so we restructured it.
