So proud

Just wanted to say how proud I have been of my driving. To understand the importance of this, you have to understand that I waited 31 years to get my license because I was TERRIFIED of the idea of driving, it was one of my biggest phobias.

Something changed the week Dave was in the hospital and I had to drive everywhere. At some point my driving went from being terrifying to actually quite enjoyable. In fact I know what changed, Dave πŸ™‚ I love him but he makes me nervous as a passenger, when I drive alone, I just relax and do my thing. Anyhow, I have been dropping him off at work and keeping the car all week cause he is working late and I have chiro appointments, and I am really enjoying the freedom of having the vehicle all to myself πŸ™‚ now I want my own car, but we can’t afford the extra insurance at all, so it’s have to wait.

That is all. Fiat.

About mommamaynard

β€œLife is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” β€” Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. Woooohooooo!!! Go you, mama! You are strong, capable, and awesome!!!

  2. I’ve been driving since I was 17, but I still HATE driving with my husband as passenger. Totally makes me nervous.
There’s something so liberating about cruising around on your own though- especially when the weather is nice and you can blast music and roll the windows down. Love it!

  3. I’m the same way. I do not like to drive when Stephen is in the car, but without him I can drive pretty well.
