Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh.
a.k.a my friend Natashia lent us her friend’s doppler last night until mine arrives. That is the true definition of best friend. I hope if I found myself in her predicament I would still be a good enough friend to be happy for my friends pregnancy, and be able to lend her things that were meant for my own baby. Tasha is truly a good person.
This means the world to us, this morning we lie in bed together, Dave and I, and we listen first to my heartbeat, then the swooshing sound of the placenta, then the healthy little racehorse baby heartbeat. So cool, the placenta sounds like hurricane wind storm and then the baby’s heart is all thumpity thump through it. So fast and adorable 🙂 so easy to dinstinguish from my own, which is much slower.
This is the doppler in question, so for those who questioned if it was any good or not, it really is, not like the cheap wal-mart or target dopplers, this one actually works like a medical grade one. Only there is no speaker, you do have to listen with headphones. Good things is that there are two headphone jacks so you and your partner can have a listen together.
