Dave update

He is home, sleeping beside me, he is in pain but he is doing well.
The hospital was NOT a pleasant experience, he was not aloud to eat since dinner last night and was to be at the hospital at 11am, surgery was scheduled for 2pm. I showed up at 4pm to wait for him/pick him up, assuming he would done and in recovery right around then.
In reality he had surgery at 5pm…..He said by the time they took him into surgery he had a migrane from dehydration/starvation. He got released at 9pm. I spent 5 hours at the hospital in the waiting room, I ate crappy ass hospital pizza that made me power puke 1 hour later in a hospital washroom. Blah! I was not an impressed girl, if they had called to say his surgery was delayed, I would have gone home after work, walk the dog, get a bite to eat, THEN head to the hospital. Grr.
However, I am glad he is now home safely tucked in beside me 🙂

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. Wishing him a speedy recovery. I can’t imagine how hard it all has been on you both. And 5 hours in the waiting room???? I’m certain they are intentionally trying to torture patients these days. *hugs*

    • Thanks sweety. As a wise women (You) once said to me: It’s amazing that person who has been through so much herself, can still have so much compassion for others.
I just think to myself, it’s cosmetic really, Dave’s injury, he could live without his hand, You madamoiselle have beaten cancer..now that is impressive.
      Thanks though.
