My daughter

Mom went with a bunch of girlfiend for girls night out to have their Tarot Cards read. She called me when she got home, the lady told her that her grandaughter would be born with dark hair and she would be hosting a formal celebration of life at her house in the next 6 months. She also mentioned Evan and said this baby has a differant fate then he did and history would not repeat itself.

I cried and cried when she told me this. Of course from joy but also because Evan was born with a head full of dark hair, it my favorite feature of his, so much hair. I  think I will loose my mind if this baby girl looks like him, only breathing. I will be overwhelmed with loving her so much and missing her brother so deeply all at once. It’s both wonderful and terrifying.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. *sigh* I remember worrying that Charlotte would look too much Abby and it would freak me out. In her first eyar of life I had many moments where it seemed like a flashback to Abby’s birth and death, but aslo…as soon as Charlotte was born, she was CHARLOTTE and it was so totally clear to me. It didn’t feel like a deja vu of Abby being born or anything like that. I’m thinking of you as you go through this pregnancy, it brings back the memories of my own pregnancy-after-loss. {{hugs}}
