Got the cutest ass pink longies in the mail yesterday. LOVE. I almost exploded from the cute when I looked at them, they are so tiny and soft, with cable knit down the right leg.

All I need now are a handful of more AIO’s and/or pockets, a couple more covers and 5ish prefolds I think. The rest would just be a bonus.
Doing this online diaper hunt is exposing me to way to many cute things for my poor broke ass hahah, I am now seriously lusting after an AIO diaper that has gnome print on it and says "Hanging with my Gnomies"
Seriously awesome! I don’t know that a diaper exists yet with this print, but there is a company that sells the fabric for diapers.

I still have to figure out which wash detergent I am going to go with, I am debating soap nuts. The local diaper company here says when it comes to diapers the cheaper the better (as in no name wash) because all the extra fancy stuff added to newer/more expensive detergents is what builds up on diapers i.e the cheaper the simpler the ingrediants usually. I don’t know, I would rather go as suds free and perfume free as possible.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. I use Dr. Brommers Magic Soap. It’s got all of 5 incredients and comes in a variety of natural scents (with natural oils) and they have an unscented ‘baby’ version too. It cleans my clothes really great…if it’s super dirty it doesn’t do as well but then I maybe should be adding more. I don’t ever notice build up but you could buy a small tester bottle and do a load of your own wash. They sell it at most health food stores.

    • Ya I use Dr. Bronners as well, have the one now with the Mint oil in it and it’s lovely, I wash my face with it everyday. Anyways, sadly it’s not good for diapers cause the castile builds up on fabric and causes eventual repelling. Boo.
there are a few good options locally though, so I will try em out and see.

  2. I use Lil Outlaws detergent. It has no soap in it, so that means no build up. I’m pretty sure she ships to Canada. It is and her rump rub is magical!

  3. Laundry Detergent
Norwex make a very good detergent that you use a very tiny bit of, and if you get their magnet ball you use even less, I have found it to be amazingly effective.. there may be a rep in your area and because it lasts so long it might not even be a big deal if you ordered it online.

  4. maybe look into making your own detergent for diapers? there are a lot of recipes online! i love my homemade detergent lol.

  5. I hear you on the addiction. I’m a new mom of a 5.5 week old, Mila, and am always checking out sites [] for more diaper covers. We currently use Cloth-eez® Prefold Diapers with covers. {I really like the thristie dou because it grows with the little one, but Bummis is great along w/ the Litewrap.}
As for washing.. I’ve found that Charlie’s Soap is the BEST!!!! No optical brighteners (which leave residue on the diapers and makes them less absorbent), Unscented and a little bit goes a long way.
Hope this helps a tad… Good luck

    • Aww I want to try that soap but I can only get the laundry soap online in Canada. I can’t use a laundry detergant I have to buy online each time I need. To much of a hassle. Grrr. Going to have to find something as good in Canada.

    • Awww thanks for feeding my addiction 🙂 bookmarked. Hahah. Love it. That diaper site has two diapers I wanted, Hanging with my Gnomies and One Tough Cookie haha.

  6. Welcome to the diaper madness!!! Bwa ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!

  7. It’s addicting huh?? I loved buying diapers with Moira and have tons. With this new baby, whether it’s a girl or a boy I am going to want to buy more diapers!!
I had been planning on using Seventh Generation Baby laundry detergent and I also used dryer balls.

    • I bought 3/4 of my diapers for Evan as well. I have given away or sold some of my blatent boy one’s but I had about 20 bought for him I beleive. I don’t know if we have 7th generation in Canada gonna have to have a look

  8. For custom baby stuff (possibly diapers) try they have everything, and what they don’t have you can make yourself fairly easily.
