Loss all around…Books ect..

I am just about to indulge in the book Our Babies, Ourself-How Biology and Culture Shape the Way we Parent. I opened it up to have a peek and noticed that it was dedicated as follows:

‘For My Two That Didn’t Make it, And For Francesca, Who Makes It All Perfect. ‘
It’s amazing how much I encounter since losing Evan. It really is everywhere, maybe we just don’t notice until it happens to us.

Anyhow, I am super stoked to read this book and wish I could read it all now. I have heard such good things about it.
I am also currently reading a book called From the Hips: A Comprehensive, Open Minded, Uncensored, Totally Honest Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and Becoming a Parent. It’s meh, interesting enough, mostly I like the layout and enjoyed showing Dave the diagram of a pregnant women’s body and all the things she is going through, such as extra hair, skin tags, nose congestion and bleeding, water retention, gas, heartburn ect..In case he didn’t already get that growing a baby is hard work, he now has a diagram to remind him.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
