I am starving, and hot and exausted and congested and have full fledged pregnancy brain today. I slept horrible.
I hope this day get’s better, cause all I want to do right now is sleep and eat, instead i am teaching a 4 hour long workshop and trying to tie up all the loose ends on my files before I go on mat leave in a week. I have a workshop til 1:30, a doctors appointment from 2-4 and then an optometrist appointment from 5:30-6:30. I am not going to get home til like 7pm. Oh well, it’s soon to be over, 4 more workdays, and only 2 of those are full days, Friday is our staff party all afternoon. I will pull through.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. Ooh, just a couple days left!! Just keep reminding yourself that pretty soon all that will be required of you is eating, sleeping, and cuddling Oliver all day long. Until Evie arrives, of course 😉
Canada fucking rules, by the way. Your mat leave laws are genius.

    • I am fighting a head cold so I am just so blah, but ya, it’s very close to over and hopefully with a much better year ahead of me then the last time I took formal mat leave and had to go back with my head down.
Ya we do have our shit together with helping mom’s I will get 55% of my salary for a full 52 weeks. I could be on paid leave now even, cause if you have a medical or psychological condition you can collect up to 3 months on either end of mat leave claim for sick leave, but I am stubborn, I like my job and I like being on full salary as long as possible.
