Weird pregnancy sleep patterns

Every. Single. Night.
Or should I say morning, I wake up at 2:30am, without fail for the past 5ish weeks, and I am wide awake. It’s weird.
The same thing happened in my pregnancy with Evan, only it was 4am. It’s strange that it’s so very specific, I wonder why?

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. I did that with Moira too. It was more like 4am and sometimes it was earlier too, but mostly 4am. That made me mad because I had a hard time getting back to sleep and my alarm goes off at 5:45am.

  2. I had the same thing happen- I’d wake between two and three. I agree with the PPs, I think it’s natures way of preparing you to be up all night.

  3. yep, your body is getting ready to get up to nurse the babe!!!!!

  4. YEP!! body getting ready for late nights with the babe!<3<3<3 always in my thoughts!

  5. it’s nature’s way of preparing you for the lack of sleep, interrupted sleep, middle of the night activity when you bring home a baby. Napping at odd times during the day is necessary now too, since you get such a broken sleep at night! I always said that this is the reason why I had to get up every hour to pee in the last few weeks too!
