Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

I can’t think of a better way to see out 2009 then seeing my little girl on the ultrasound screen. Evangeline had her 3rd planning score/biophysical today and once again was done in 5 minutes. She just dosen’t stop, she moves all-the-time. She is always practicing her breathing and get’s hiccups at least once a day, which is also apparently good news in terms of lung development. They said today once again everything looks just wonderful, ideal amount of amniotic fluid, very healthy looking placenta, baby is head down and so low we can no longer get pictures of her face, great movement ect..
35 weeks today..2 weeks to full term, wow! I am so excited and so nervous and so close. I stopped at the drug store today and picked up pads for post partum, lube for post partum sex haha, and a 45 pack of newborn swaddlers diapers, I plan on using disposable just for the first week or so until the meconium is passed and we are home and settled in.  Then I have bountyful beautiful fluff awaiting.

Tonight we are heading over to Natashia’s to ring in the new year with a cheese fondu. I am exausted and despretly need a nap before then, so I am off to bed.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. Happy New Year, sweetness!!!! Yay for a great US!!!!

  2. Mmmmmm cheese fondue! So jealous!

  3. I’m glad everything’s going well. I remember Rachel having hiccups and kicking me nonstop. Tanner was completely different and never kicked-just rolled and there weren’t any hiccups. So funny how different they can be even when that young! Happy 35 weeks momma!!! Happy New years!!!

    • I know, wondering if that is reflected in their personality later. Evan had the hiccups lots to, but was a much mellower baby overall.
Thanks and happy 2010 to you.

  4. omg so exciting!!!! It’s almost baby time!!!! I can’t even imagine how it must feel the last few weeks, just like waiting knowing that in two weeks you’re gonna have a baby! I couldn’t deal with it, i’m not patient enough. 😛
