Babyland…

Ok here is lowdown.
-Protein in urine is gone, test for UTI came back negative.
-Strep Test is negative
-Lost 1.5 lbs, (sick will do that to ya) Less then 12 lbs total gain now.
-Nurse took BP as soon as I arrive and had walked 15 minutes then up two flights of steps..I was hot and not rested….
not surprising it was boarderline high at 150/90…15 minutes later after I had been sitting, Dr. took it again and it was 132/82 so perfect.
-Baby is CRAZY active, Dr. had a chuckle cause she got to witness the acrobatics, she would not sit still long enough to get a heart reading, it took 4 tries haha.
-Dr. is on call next Friday-Monday….so if E has not come on her own, we will induced next Saturday or Sunday it would seem. I will be 38 weeks 3 or 4 days. Oh that is the best news..a finish line.
-I did not have a cervix check done today, decided no point, will have one next week. I feel things going on down there, lots of cramping and pulling so I think things are moving along fine. At this stage with Evan I was 2cm dilated already, stayed 2 for 3 weeks, then went to 3.

Also the cold is just a cold…nothing to do but survive it, it should pass on it’s own. It better pass on it’s own.

Good news all around, last appointment with my OB :), biophysical on Thursday, then nothing for a week, then next Thursday I have another biophysical and then see the Peri who will then set the induction up woot.

The end is soooooo near, so near. I am so happy, I know I can make it, especially if baby keeps so very active for me.

About mommamaynard

β€œLife is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” β€” Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. yay!
glad you feel like there is some activity at the cervix.
are you doing anything to help labor come along? Since we are also facing an induction, I am wondering if there are somethings we could do….
    good luck next week!!!!

    • Thanks πŸ™‚
I have been having ton’s of cramping at the cervix, just wish I had more contractions to go along with it. Well things I have been doing to help labor come along are I take 2 evening primrose oil day, orally, they have prostaglandins, (you can do it vaginally to if you want, I don’t like it cause it’s all sticky), lots of walking, being up upright, sitting on/boucing on exercise ball are all good things to do. Of course good ol sex, but being as sick and exausted as I am there hasen’t been much of that going on here haha.
