Really really interesting

My midwife mentioned a study had been done supporting the breastfeeding/co-sleeping link, but I never found or came across the actually study before today, on facebook..So watch this it is sad, but super interesting and reinforces my  sleep choices at this stage of Evangeline’s life.

About mommamaynard

β€œLife is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” β€” Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. It’s hard to take seriously something on a website that has “Tramp stamps” as a navigation item. lol.

    • Ok so maybe the website sucks, but the study from Notre Dame is for real, I swear, my midwife had told me about it a while ago, about how they did sleep studies with breastfeeding and formula feeding mom’s and babies and found that the breastfeeding mom’s never turned their backs on their baby in their sleep, breathing and sleep patterns matched and baby never had to cry for food, cause mom knew before they even woke up they were waking up for food. As for babies, they stayed facing mom and boobs all night cause they have a one track mind, boob and mom :)and the same physical bond is just not there with formula feeding ( I was formula fed, not saying babies don’t turn out healthy, this is just a co-sleeping study after all).
I can tell you from experience, my body knows before I do that E. is hungry, I get a milk letdown and just gush and sure enough she is ready for it πŸ™‚
