Tick Tock

In my sleep early this morning I felt something on my arm, it itched, I thought it was a crumb since I had eaten cookies in bed earlier in the evening, I just wiped it off and went about my sleeping, but when I felt it two more times I turned on my bedside light, oh my grossness, my crumb was not a crumb at all but a freaking disgusting tick. It must have hitched a ride home on Oliver and decided I was yummier cause I found it on my chest, thank God it had not burrowed into my skin yet, thank God I woke up before it had a chance. So at 3am I woke up Dave, made him look me, the dog, the baby (who was unimpressed with being striped down at 3am) up and down for more of them, then strip all the bedding and change it, ew. I was back in bed at 4am but could not sleep cause my skin was just crawling.

I went to vet today and got Oliver his flea and tick treatment. I hope that is the last one I find in my home.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
