downward ho..or something.

Today I am 40lbs lighter then when I gave birth 5.5 months ago,..I only gained 11lbs in pregnancy so that means 30 of it is off my frame. How do I love breastfeeding..:) no period and weight loss..amongst other things. Imagine how I would be doing if I actually applied myself  and stopped with the cheese burgers and beer (my summer menu is always salad, fruit, meat and beer πŸ™‚ )

Ok off to Moncton now for a week with mom πŸ™‚

About mommamaynard

β€œLife is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” β€” Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. Yay! Go you!

I gained 40lbs with Lily, and while I don’t know my current weight – I do know that all my pre-pregnancy clothing are too loose on me now and that is just from breast feeding – I haven’t even started exercising yet (although I should to get my abs back into shape after all that stretching). It’s just so awesome! I love breast feeding on many levels! πŸ˜€

  3. I got 40 pounds off with Noah from breastfeeding I guess. The other 40 I’ve lost is from good ole working out lol

  5. Chasing 2 doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll lose the weight!! I have two. With my first, I was back at my pre-preg weight pretty quickly (and I breastfed for over 2 years with #1). This time around, I’m still a good 15 lbs over what I was. Granted, I am petite so I really have nothing to complain about. But my point is that breastfeeding isn’t cutting it this time, neither is chasing around the kids. πŸ™‚

Have a nice time with Mom!

  7. so jealous

Breastfeeding doesn’t make the pounds slide off me like that. I’ve kind of stalled at the moment, but I don’t exactly eat right, either. At least I’m lighter than I was when I got pregnant, but yeah… congrats to you! =)

an ideal weight being that I am 5’2 and I was stepping up 200 at the end of my pregnancy.

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I’m 5’3″ and right now I am sitting right around 170. blah… Good luck, and if you have any easy tips I’d love to hear them. =D

I didn’t get my period until my son was over a year old (breastfed until 20 months, though)… but yeah, definitely didn’t lose weight. Everyone always says that will happen, but it didn’t for me. I got gypped! πŸ˜‰
