Summer =busy

So much to say, so so many pictures to post. So little time. My little 6 month old is so very time consuming these days with her facination of the world 🙂 when she is out cold her Dad wants my undivided attention so that leaves me with so little free time.

Saw Despicable Me at the baby movie today it was super cute and funny.

Took Evangeline camping for a weekend, she loved it.

Got an Ergo for $80, it’s a black organic embroidered one. Love it so much as does baby girl. If only I can learn to get us both in and out of it unattended. It’s not an easy feat. I also bought 4 yards of unbleached Linen cotton mix to make a new woven wrap. It needs colour, thinking about Batiking it.

My little girl is such an amazing person. Still the fiery, hugely oppinionated and determined little girl she has always been. However, I think we have each other figured out which makes life eons easier. She does overnight in her crib now, I nurse her down and repeat about 3 times before dawn, rushing to her side before she gets upset and she is back asleep in 20 minutes max, then after her dawn feed at 5-6am she joins us in bed til 9 ish. This seems to be a sleep plan we can all live with. Makes Dave happy to have his bed back and alone time with his wife at night, makes me happy cause I am nursing 3-4 times a night rather then 8-10 times and still get snuggle time with my babe (we do naps together too) makes baby happy cause she still gets to wake up next to mom, her absolute favorite. Wins all around, hope it sticks.

Evangeline loves food, she grabs the spoon and feeds herself and it’s adorable. She is crazy about fresh fruit which she share all day long. She demands my nectarine with great furvour, grabbing at it a d yelling at me. She pops it in her mouth and sucks it like it’s a breast. She can litterally suck a peach or nectarine until only pulp is left and she is covered in juice. Love it. We basically moved right into table foods, I mash or chop whatever I am making for dinner and give her a little. She did have Jared peas and carrots at my moms and hated the peas. When I tasted them I understood, flavourless mush.

Anyways I have photo and video documentation of all this to come. Have to go fetch the child who is rolling and wiggling out of the room.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

      I know, it’s crazy how time is flying. I get sad when I stop to think I am past the halfway mark of my 1 year maternity leave..Boo. I don’t want to leave her and go to work.
