Little Miss Babycakes

7 months 1 week. Used her pincer grasp to pick up food for the first time. Eats everything and shows no signs of sensitivities yet, including nuts, fish, eggs, wheat and dairy. She eats what we eat. She freaks out when I sit her in her high chair cause she knows food is comming it’s awesomely hillarious. No teeth yet but loads of tooth related discomfort.

Sleeping all nights in her own crib now but nowhere near to sleeping through the night. on a good night she wakes twice to nurse and right back to sleep, on a bad night like the past 3, she is up every 3 hours leaving me with 2.5 sleep hours max in a row. I am exausted most of the time but at least those hours are a deep sleep which I was never getting ever when she slept next to me. We have a good routine down including 2-2.5 naps a day if only we could extend the length all would be well.
She is very very close to crawling. Busy and all over the place. Can tumble from sitting to all fours without getting hurt cause her arms are strong enough to break her fall now. Thank God, last week she bumped her head on the baseboard after a foreward tumble and bruised her forehead.
Lots of new adorable sounds more and more like words. Loves typing lol so I made a joke facebook account for her and let her update her own status everyday, it’s hillarious.
Alright she is done entertaining herself and crying, off to help.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. That’s awesome to hear! We are also not really limiting food for Peter. He pretty much gets what we get, even if it’s lemon pepper chicken wings, or whatever.

Peter doesn’t sleep through the night either. I put him down at first in a cradle next to the bed, and when he wakes I nurse him and either put him in the cradle again, or next to me, depending on how wiggly he is. If he’s really wiggly, it’s the cradle.

We’ve also had a lot of bruises and bumps on the head, as now he’s trying to stand, and 7 months is just too young for good balance!

I love that you made an account for her. I might copycat!

Oh, and little Miss E’s blanket is nearly done. I will try to have it in the mail tomorrow, but it might have to wait until Wednesday.

    • Thanks so much, very excited about it. It’s hillarious giving them their own account cause then they can like things like boobies and getting their diaper changed lol. Then Evangeline and Peter can be facebook friends.
