Reading

I am so very excited that E. Loves to read already. She adores her books, I catch her sitting in the corner quietly flipping through pages talking to herself all the time. She LOVES her Pat The Bunny book, and I must read it to her 10x a day sometimes haha. I love it cause it shows me how well she remembers things, she knows what to do for each page, like say Hi, pat the bunny, play peek a boo, smell the flowers ect…sometimes she flips right to the back page and waves bye bye and says bye bye which always amazes me that she remembers that the book says can you wave goodbye.
I am passionate about books so I sincerely hope she inherited that.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.

  1. I can’t imagine either, I LOVE books. I almost get sexually aroused in an old used book store with tons and tons of awesome books.

  2. That is awesome. Abi and Seb have an entire library already that they’re always getting into, and my grandmother says, “I can’t believe they have so many books!” like it’s even possible to have too many books.

    • E has a full shelf of books now as well. Dave and I grew up with lots of books, so it’s like a quintessential part of our childhood memories, we want the same for our little one.

  3. I feel the same way about lily and books. do you know how many kids DON’T READ? Like at all? I cant imagine not picking up a book on a daily basis.
