Quite the birth story

My very dear friend  gave birth to her daughter and first child on Tuesday. Hers was a birth story many women dream of. She had light cramping for a couple days, lost her plug, more cramping, then a bloody show and some stronger though bearable contractions. Then after getting off the phone with her midwife and deciding to head into the hospital, she sat to have a pee and woosh her water broke. She arrived at the hospital in hard full blown labor yelling that she needed to push. 15 minutes minutes later her daughter was born. 2 tiny side tears, intact perineum. Baby latched right away and nursing has continued to go perfectly. She is now home with her little 7lbs 10oz girl and they are all feeling rested…yup rested haha. This is actually a true story. What a perfect introduction to mommyhood. Congrats Colleen and Eddy, little Olivia is too cool, the kid looks like she is wearing a wig haha.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
