Flu fun

Were just on the otherwise of a brutal stomach flu. Poor little Evangeline spent 4 days with brutal diarrhea and vomiting. Ironically enough, the thing I worried about most during those days was her caloric intake. As much as I say I don’t listen to the nurses at our clinic, I guess their concerns about E’s weight has affected me at least a little. I was so afraid she would loose too much weight and they would stress further about her size at our next appointment. I even asked the pharmacist if I could give her those meal replacement shakes to help replace the calories she was
Not taking in, but because they are rich and creamy they felt it would just make her sicker and said to just keep her on fluids to stay hydrated, and she did nurse more then usual, so hopefully that helped.
Anyhow, she has now gone 48 hours with no vomiting and 24 hours with no diarrhea , so things are looking up. She ate an entire Avocado this morning at breakfast plus a piece of toast so that certainly helped put my mind at ease.
Ah parenting is tough enough, parenting after loosing a child is so
Much harder. I over think and stress about everything, and I don’t think it will ever stop, so I might as well get used to it.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
