Sunny Saturdays

Farmers market this morning was bursting at the seams with a bounty of fresh produce and fruit. My mouth started watering the moment I walked in the door. We bought local corn, red onions, husk tomatoes, wild blueberries, peaches and greens. We also bought our weekend ritual fresh baked pastries ( I got peaches and cream) and organic fair trade coffees. Then we came home and enjoyed the pastries and coffee on the back deck, in the sunshine, while Evangeline drew on everything she could with sidewalk chalk.

Then Dave turned on the wireless speakers and so began our ritual Saturday morning booty shaking dance party(the toddler needs to blow off steam before her nap, and we have to burn off those pastries). This morning I captured a clip of Evangeline’s best dance moves. Enjoy.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
