Slow Cooker Sundays

This past Sunday we had dinner at a friends place, so our Slow Cooker Sunday became Slow Cooker Monday in effect. Anyhow, we made slow cooked Venison with a sherry mushroom thyme sauce. Here is the recipe:

2 tsp Olive Oil
2 C Sliced Mushrooms
2 Tbsp chopped shallots
4 or 5 Cloves of Garlic                                                                                                                          4 or 5 Stalks of Thyme
1/2 C Chicken Broth-low sodium
1/4 C Sherry
16 oz Venison Loin

Put everything into the slow cooker on Low and cook all day (8 hours in our case while at work).  Serve with Mash or Roasted Coins of Potato and Veg of choice. (We did roasted  Broccoli and Cauliflower)
