A Time to Share: Day 1

This weeks photo prompt over at 52 Photos Project is Day 1: All about the NewNess of 2012. How did you spend your day 1, or the days after?

We spent New Years Eve with friends, and had a quiet time with food, movies and toddlers. We snacked and snacked on delicious chocolate fondu, homemade artichoke dip, blueberry pie and cookies. All the lovelies left over from Christmas. Then we put the toddlers to bed and watched 200 Cigarettes, our traditional new years movie. At midnight we wished each other a happy new year and parted ways, carrying a sleepy baby on my shoulder.

Hope everyone had a lovely end to 2011, and may 2012 be great for you all. Here is a photo of some of the yummies we had laid out at our new years feast:

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
