Mommy, Go Visit Daddy?

11 more days until our precious family is reunited. That will fly by right?

I sure hope so. My poor little Evangeline misses her Daddy so badly. She asks for him everyday. We went to Halifax to visit him last weekend and she was Ecstatic. Ecstatic to see her daddy, ecstatic to be in her home again and ecstatic to sleep in her own bed. Everyday since we have gotten home she has asked me to go visit her daddy. So sad. As I was tucking her into bed last night she looked at me and said ” Mama?” Yes baby “Egangerine miss daddy”. Oh my heart just bled, I can feel how deeply she misses her dad. She might only be 2 years old but the pain she feels from this seperation is very real. I can’t believe I was 4 and my brother was the same age as Evangeline when my parents seperated. I honestly have no memories of that time; but I can’t help but wonder if it was as hard on us as it has been on Evangeline.

11 more days baby girl and Daddy will be with you everday again.

About mommamaynard

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein. When it feels like your world has been shattered, and you have reached rock bottom, you must make a choice: Stay where you are and fade away, or keep moving forward. Thankfully I chose to move forward and was blessed with the two most wonderful children after the death of my first in early labor. Things are looking up.
